ROOF CERTIFICATIONS
A Citizens Roof Certification Inspection or 1 Point Roof Inspection is an inspection performed at the request of your insurance company through your insurance agent. These types of inspections are to determine the remaining life expectancy of the roofing materials. Citizens Insurance has been requiring this inspection at the time of renewal or if it is a new policy. Many standard insurance companies are requiring this as well. While Citizens or your insurer knows the age of your home, they do not know if the roof covering has ever been updated. This is important as it will determine if the insurer will renew or write a new policy based on their insurability guidelines.
